As an example, a typical Hz TV would be able to achieve the HZ if the resolution were to be lowered To give you an example, I have a 28" p Monitor connected to my computer that has a max refresh rate of 75Hz..
If I use the native x resolution, then the max I can get is 60Hz. I will show you a chart below. It's probably the same with your TV. To get that Hz, you may have to run at a much lower resolution. Maybe Samsung has a forum where you can get suggestions that may deal with Samsung TV specific issues. Supported PC Resolution. In reply to ChrisChefney's post on December 31, A two year old thread does deserve an update, I suppose While there may be a Samsung TV that does true Hz the OP never mentioned the model , most Samsung TV's and monitors use 'interpolation' to achieve what is a pseudo Hz, not a genuine Hz refresh rate.
These monitors also require a dual-link DVI to achieve Hz. A 'feature' that is not widely advertised, and which catches many off guard. I know this post is really old now, but the other guys here are wrong. If your tv is capable of hz then windows will not adjust it automatically -- you have to do it manually through the control panel. Click on the tab in the middle of the screen that says Advanced settings.
Then click on the Monitor tab, and you'll see Screen refresh rate with a drop down button right below it yours probably says 60 Hz. Click on that button and it will show all of the different refresh rates your monitor is capable of.
If you see Hz as the option then click on it, then click Apply near the bottom of the screen. This site in other languages x.
